Built for the People Who Had Nobody to Call.

I spent 20 years in the trades, 11 years running toward fires, and 4 years building a business on referrals alone. Everything I've done has been pointed at one thing: making sure nobody faces a hard problem completely alone.

In My Family
In His Own Words
"I didn't build QuickAskDAD from a boardroom. I built it from 20 years of crawling through crawl spaces, rewiring outlets at 10pm for a single mom who couldn't afford a $300 service call."
— Chris Besnett
The Conviction
"I gave the same price to the mansion on the hill that I gave to the house in the tough neighborhood. That's not a business strategy — that's a conviction."
— Chris Besnett
The Mission
"1 in 3 Americans grew up without a father in the home. 18 million people with nobody to call when the pipe burst at midnight. QuickAskDAD is the answer."
— QuickAskDAD Origin
Named After My Dad

Bill Besnett Always Had the Answer.

Didn't matter if it was a leaky pipe at midnight, a career decision he'd never faced before, or a kid who just needed someone to talk it through with. He showed up. He thought it through. He helped you figure it out.

We lost him too soon. And when he was gone, so was that voice — the one that always said, "here's what you do."

QuickAskDAD is named after Bill Besnett. The platform exists so everyone has that voice when they need it most. Not as a product. As a promise.

1 in 3
Americans grew up without a father in the home. Over 18 million people who become homeowners with no trusted voice to call. That's who we built this for.
Faith-DAD
Faith isn't a marketing angle. It's the operating system. Equal pricing for every client — the mansion and the tough neighborhood — came from a conviction that every person has equal worth, not from a business strategy.
Agape = unconditional love. That's why the business was named it.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Family-DAD
Father of 8. Family of 10. Every decision I make — business, financial, operational — is made by someone who knows exactly what is at stake when a family depends on you completely.
The "what would I tell my own kid" test applies to every piece of advice I give.
🤝
Community-DAD
11 years running toward fires. A youth Explorer Program that produced back-to-back state champions — kids with no dads at home. When you show up consistently for people who have no one showing up for them, they win championships. That's the proof of concept for QuickAskDAD.
42 volunteers grew to 250 in under 6 months. Community is built through consistent presence.
The Story

20 Years in the Making. One Mission.

No connections. No family in the industry. No shortcuts. Just showing up and working — and letting the work build the next chapter.

2006 — Rosemount, MN
Entered the Trades at 18
Joined Laborers Union Local 563 straight out of Rosemount Senior High School. Training covered general construction, welding, OSHA, rigging, flagging, and asbestos work. No shortcuts. No family in the industry. Showed up and learned.
2006–2016 — Apple Valley, MN
Laborer → Superintendent, Valley Lake Flooring
Started as an 18-year-old laborer on commercial and residential flooring crews across the Twin Cities metro. Earned superintendent in 10 years — leading crews of 5 and overseeing full project delivery. Learned that showing up matters more than credentials.
2009–2020 — City of Rosemount
Firefighter → Lieutenant, Rosemount Fire Department
11 years of service. Certified Firefighter I & II, Hazmat Operations, Emergency Medical Responder. Promoted to Lieutenant in 2015. Responded to house fires, structural collapses, and medical emergencies. Watched people lose everything over problems that cost $50 to prevent. That changes how you think about home safety.
🏆 Firefighter of the Year — 2015
2015–2020 — Rosemount, MN
Founded the Rosemount Firefighter Explorer Program
Recruited and mentored 20–25 young recruits. Most of them didn't have fathers at home. That's not a footnote — it's the whole point. When you show up consistently for people who have nobody showing up for them, they win championships. And they did.
🥇 Back-to-Back MN State Champions — 2017 & 2018
2016–2020 — Savage, MN
Shop Manager, Gardner Builders
Commercial construction. Scaled tool and equipment inventory from 1 shop worth $250,000 to 3 shops worth $2,000,000 — 8x growth in managed assets across 4 years. Full lifecycle oversight: procurement, repair, branding, DOT fleet compliance, inventory across 3 locations.
📦 $250K → $2M in Managed Assets
2019 — Scouts of America
Explorer Advisor of the Year
Recognized nationally for leadership of the Rosemount Explorer Program. Not because of the trophies — because of what the program stood for: showing up for the kids everyone else had moved on from.
2020–2024 — Rosemount, MN
Founder & Operator, Agape Handyman Services
Named "Agape" — the Greek word for unconditional, selfless love — because that's what the business was built on. Launched during COVID with no marketing budget. Grew to $80,000+ per year, 750+ jobs annually, 100% referral-based, zero paid ads. Same price for the mansion on the hill as the house in the tough neighborhood. A family of 10 depended on this income. We never upsold. Not once.

2026 — quickaskdad.com
Founded QuickAskDAD
Built solo while working full-time. No venture capital. No co-founder. No tech background. Just a mission that wouldn't let go. Named after Bill Besnett — the kind of dad who always had the answer. Built for the 1 in 3 Americans who didn't have one.
🌟 31 Founding DADs Active · 119 Spots Remaining
"Chris is one of the most organized and service-driven men I know. He oversaw an entire church renovation that lasted multiple months, finished ahead of schedule, and turned an outdated space into something state of the art — in addition to his full-time job. Chris is a man of integrity and a leader who leads by example."
Andy Cossette, CCIC
AVP, Territory Leader — Zurich Insurance
What I'm Building

QuickAskDAD — The Trust Community for the Fatherless Generation.

Not a lead generation tool. Not another Angi. Not a contractor marketplace. A trust community — AI-powered, human-backed, built on the premise that nobody should have to face a broken water heater, a bad contractor quote, or a hard life decision alone.

The AI DAD is available at midnight. The real DADs pick up the phone. The contractors in our network have been screened by someone who gives a damn. The platform was built in 2026. The mission started 20 years ago.

31 Founding DADs are already live. 119 spots remain. Every DAD on this platform is here because they believe what I believe: that experience shared is trust built.

By the Numbers

The Work Speaks for Itself.

Not credentials. Not a degree. 20 years of showing up, solving hard problems, and being the person people call back.
